An Unfinished Short Story
Sometime perhaps at the onset of this year there was a short story competition (I don't recall who was running it) with a cash prize, and I began to write something that took place in a dark and epic fantasy world I had shelved for some time. Unfortunately, as I was working out the details of what would have been a slightly complicated short, I realized that the competition was specifically looking for uplifting, hopeful stories, and this one was not that. I used that as an e

Where is Biocore?
Hello, Readers! I apologize for the significant radio silence on my end, with only bits of updates posted to Instagram. I am by and large having a difficult year, and through the noise of it all, it became easy to neglect this blog. However, I am working on turning that around soon, starting with a more in-depth explaination as to why Biocore was delayed from its original release date of July 3rd. The simplest reason is that I had far too much going on in my life, and did no

The Hallowed Girl and Other Updates
It's been a bit since I've made a post on here, so I wanted to (albeit late) announce for anyone who is not on Instagram that The Hallowed Girl is now available on amazon for Hardback, paperback, and ebook. Please pardon the more pricier tag for these as Amazon takes the bulk of it (I get 3 dollars at best). READ NOW The Hallowed Girl is my attempt to take the feelings of Tamora Pierce, Robin Hobb, and Jeff Wheeler and try to bring them together into a dark, but enjoyable fa

Biocore Release Date
In case you missed it on social, Biocore is now set to release on July 3rd, 2026. I think a lot of folks have been waiting for this one (and understandably, with such an incredible cover by Xavier Cuenca) and I finally felt confident to put a date to it. Biocore has a particular vibe that I hope comes through with my writing-- from the state of the world, to trials placed before the main character. It's dark, gritty, dystopian, SciFi, cyberpunk, and action-packed all in one.

Writing Updates
Hello, Dear Readers, Just wanted to give an update on my various projects. As you might have seen, The Hallowed Girl is set to release on May 28th. When it's available to preorder I will make a post about it, but otherwise, it's made great progress and I am really just putting on the finishing touches. With Biocore, I am finally feeling comfortable enough to give it a release date. That could come later tonight (I'm still mulling it over), so keep an eye out on instagram for

THE HALLOWED GIRL RELEASE DATE
That's right-- The Hallowed Girl finally has a release date. As put the finishing touches on it over the coming two months, I want to thank everyone who continues to read this blog and support my writing. This book has been a work in progress for over three years (I actually started writing it around the same time as Dierock 88!), but it took some time to really find my vision, the world, the characters, and direction the story should take. I wanted to be patient, as a fantas

Why I Left X and Where To Find Me
Hello, my Friends, I figured I should explain, at least to some degree, why I left X so suddenly. It's complicated, but the best I can sum it up is that I've been wanting to leave X for awhile. There's plenty of good reasons to do so: It's not a fun place to be anymore, with the recent changes to the site and the post-for-clicks dynamic. X is also (if we are being honest) not a great place for women. I don't mean that in a feminist, "men are mean" sort of way, but rather that

The Hallowed Girl
Here's another look at my next release and debut into coming of age fantasy. I've selected a scene from the first chapter. I hope you enjoy and wish to read more upon release! :) Kallen found that praying outdoors was preferable. The Temple, with its stark stone walls, matching floors, and dust-laden curtains, lacked the adornments one might anticipate in a sacred space. Having known only the village temple, however, she couldn't determine if such neglect was common or simply

Project Updates
Hello, Everyone! I figured I was due to write a quick update on all of my ongoing projects. The most pressing two, at the moment, are my upcoming releases: The Hallowed Girl, which will be my debut into Fantasy, and Biocore, which is a standalone SciFi novel. The Hallowed Girl is going through revisions. The first draft is done. Heck, It's even had a second draft. I'm simply taking my time to make sure it's right. This largely consists of finding areas where the story can be

Desert Horizon: The Audiobook
The time has finally come, and I have launched the kickstarter campaign to fund (half) of the cost for the Desert Horizon audiobook. Son of Sonnet very kindly agreed to be the narrator, and the goal is to start record late march. I am very excited to see how it turns out! Thank you to anyone and everyone who has supported Desert Horizon already, or plans to do so in the future. Below is the link to the campaign. Any help is wondeful! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/deser

Red Blue Genesis: Chapter Two
Scene One Coffee. God, how he missed the taste— or at least, he was pretty certain he did, for he no longer recalled what it tasted like. The mushroom water the kitchen spat out worked great, but Jack had to chug it. There was no such thing as enjoying a hot cup of grounded up mushrooms. Even so, there was a skip in his step as he carried his mug through the cavern halls. He must have been smiling, as every face he passed seemed to get brighter after they exchanged greeting

Red Blue Genesis: Chapter One
Scene One Every drop hit Jack Cable like a brick, his eyes wincing and head rolling from side to side as he tried to avoid the blows. The sound of waves rushing by his ears after each impact caused his arms to kick out and fight, he clawed and yelled out until feeling himself upon a cold, and hard surface. “Jack?” A voice called, the rush fleeing from his ears as his eyes snapped open. “Jack, Are you alright?” He was staring at her boots, and he rolled off his side and o

BIOCORE: A SHORT LOOK-SEE
Now that I am actively promoting Biocore, I figured I would post a short scene from the book to give people a taste of what they can expect from this standalone SciFi coming next year. Check it out, and it perks your interest! :) Golden sunlight filtered in through the partially opened windows, dust particles exposed as they drifted through the air. The classroom was large, but cramped with so many books, files, and covered antiques of the past that one would never know it. “
