Project Updates

Hello, Everyone! I figured I was due to write a quick update on all of my ongoing projects. The most pressing two, at the moment, are my upcoming releases: The Hallowed Girl, which will be my debut into Fantasy, and Biocore, which is a standalone SciFi novel.

The Hallowed Girl is going through revisions. The first draft is done. Heck, It's even had a second draft. I'm simply taking my time to make sure it's right. This largely consists of finding areas where the story can be expanded, cutting characters, adding characters, etc.

Biocore is still on the first draft. It's coming along great, but as with The Hallowed Girl, I'm taking my time to get it right (there are people in my life that couldn't care less about my writing save for this one book, actually).

All in all, both projects are still more than on time for the first half of this year. :)

What Else is There?

Of course, there is still work being put into Anabasis, the third book in the Kosmonautai series, and the sequel to Desert Horizon-- The Chain Falcon.

Anabasis is still in the outlining phase (or as much of an outline as I do). There's a lot of meat still needed in the story to tie the important things together. If you've read Paradiso, you'll understand that things are really popping off now, and that's not slowing down.

Chain Falcon has a finished outline (it's a much easier story to manage than what Atlas is going through) and even has early work done on the first draft. This book will see a more direct, breakneck pace than the first book as Ransom races to save the day. ;)

Red Blue Genesis is my "I need to have fun and take a break" project. When I feel the urge to write but can't quite focus on the above-mentioned, I pull up Red Blue Genesis, and knock out a new scene from my outline. It's a risky way to write a story, but I am having fun with it, I see the characters, the moments, and the end very clearly, and I can't wait to (albeit slowly) drag my readers along with me through this world.

The Kickstarter

Thank you to everyone who has already backed the Desert Horizon kickstarter! I am greatly humbled, as I've been pushing it off for too long. I'll admit, I had little faith I'd get anywhere close to my modest goal, and I'm still not certain I will get there at all, but any support I can get goes a long way. It's not perfect nor exciting campaign-- I started it with no idea what I was doing, and I don't have the money nor the backing to offer anything exciting, but it's getting my feet wet for the possibility of doing something similar for the Kosmonautai series, and it's also going to bring Ransom's story to a whole new audience. I greatly appreciate the support, and can't wait for everyone to hear the book for the first time. :)

That's all I have at the moment (at least, that isn't top secret!).

Thank you, Friends!
