A New Challenger Appears

Aha! My eventual debut into Fantasy is coming along faster than expected, and since there's no exciting news regarding Desert Horizon or Paradiso just yet (unless you find the editing process thrilling), I decided I'd start teasing it now, and hopefully draw some eyes to my work.

If you haven't noticed from Dierock 88, there are certainly a lot of tropes in both SciFi and Fantasy that I adore, and that is especially true of coming of age, fantasy stories in which you watch the hero or heroine grow on their adventure. Harry Potter, Augum Stone, Fitz Chivalry, Owen and Trynne Kiskaddon, and so, so many more. When done right (not you, Fitz) they are my favorite tales. The most attached I can ever be to fictional characters, and a large part of what inspired me to write.

This secret fantasy project of mine is my ode to those stories. A deeply rich world, a compelling (and likable) Heroine, and characters that I hope move readers as my favorite characters moved me in my years of reading.
